1)They are so creamy smooth to glide on to the eye lids.
2) They give you enough time to work with them/blend before they set.
3) Once they set, they do NOT budge!
4) They do NOT crease (like the Chanel Illusion D'ombres, which are lovely, but crease on my hooded, oily lids and DRY out in the pot).
5) The color range is gorgeous!
I bought three yesterday to add to my growing collection - two from the newly released eight (Orchid and Sugar Frost) and one from the original range (Sapphire).
Here is my entire collection (so far!) :).
From Top to Bottom: Amethyst, Khaki, Orchid, Plum, Sapphire
From Top to Bottom: Sapphire, Steel, Sugar Frost, Turquoise, Twilight
And, of course, the swatches! Note that the asterisk by Turquose and Twilight are to indicate that I believe these are Nordstrom exclusives that may no longer be available. I got Twilight from the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale.

Finally, I want to mention something about Steel and Twilight, which look very similar. Steel is more of a blue-based grey, and Twilight is more of a purple-based grey. If you were unable to get Twilight from the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale, however, I think Steel is a good enough dupe. One thing to note with Steel, however, is that it swatches a little patchy and sometimes it removes product when you go over it again. Twilight, on the other hand, is creamy to glide on, but it deposits little beads of extra product sometimes (see picture below) that may smudge. Again, though, you may not be able to find Twilight available anymore.
Laura Mercier Caviar Stick Eye Colors in Steel and Twilight*
Overall, I LOVE the Laura Mercier Caviar Stick Eye Colors, and I can't wait to get more. These babies make smokey eyes a breeze and serve as wonderful color bases. I prefer them to all of my other cream color bases (Chanel Illusion D'ombres, MAC Paint Pots, Maybelline Color Tattoos, etc.), in large part to its packaging. The pencil form does not dry out like my potted cream bases (esp. the Chanel Illusion D'ombres!). If you are looking for a more budget friendly version, I'd suggest the NYX Jumbo Eye pencils.
