Dolce and Gabbana Mini Haul

Dolce and Gabbana's cosmetic line has been a newly acquired interest of mine. I heard good reviews about the Animalier Desert Quad, which I bought and loved, and I've since been more and more interested  to try out their lipsticks and luminous cheek colors. So, I picked up a few lipsticks and a luminous cheek color (I actually ordered two, but one was canceled due to stock - **grumble grumble**).

Here's what I picked up in my D&G mini haul:
- Dolce and Gabbana Classic Cream Lipstick in #210 Iconic (Animalier Collection)
- Dolce and Gabbana Classic Cream Lipstick in #220 Devil (Ruby Collection)
- Dolce and Gabbana Luminous Cheek Color in #22 Tan

Let me start with the lipsticks ... I know, I know, they look similar as classic red lipsticks, but Devil is more blue-based red and Iconic is more orange-based red. I only own two other classic red lipsticks (Guerlain Rouge G in 25 Garconne and Dior Grand Bal Collection Diorific lipstick in 037 Diorling), which I swatch with the D&G lipsticks below. So, I was happy to add a few more. And, yes - let's be honest - LOOK at the packaging!! SOOO pretty! Also, it doesn't hurt that my birthstone is ruby, as well :).

Again, LOVE this packaging! Ruby collection (left) and Animalier collection (right).

From left to right: D&G Devil, D&G Iconic, Guerlain Rouge G in 25 Garconne, and Dior Grand Bal Collection Diorific lipstick in 037 Diorling

You can see that D&G Devil looks more blue-based red, and Iconic looks more orange-based red.

I also already showed the D&G Desert Quad from the Animalier Collection, but now that I have the Iconic lipstick, I took a picture of this happy little family now :). (I'm not even the biggest leopard print fan. I just like it much more than the reflective gold packaging both D&G and YSL.

Now, on to the Luminous Cheek Color in #22 Tan! Ladies - I have found another go-to contour powder!! This powder, although named tan, leans cool and grey-toned!! For any of you out there lucky enough to pick up Chanel's Sculpting Veil Powder in Notorious (I snatched up one - see pictures here), this is the next best thing in my opinion! I'd highly recommend checking it out if you like those cooler, grey-toned contour powders (they give a more natural shadow in my opinion).

I hope to add more D&G makeup to my collection. I originally ordered the Luminous Cheek Color in Peach (in the beautiful Ruby Collection packaging - I think it's $10 more expensive in the Ruby packaging), which was cancelled because it was out of stock (tell me - why was I able to purchase it if it was out of stock?? **grumble grumble**). So, I'll probably end up picking it up sans Ruby packaging and one more - any suggestions or thoughts?
